Where can I donate toys?
My neighbor - so kind gave us all of his kid's old toys. While I appreciate it - we just don't have room for them. A lot of stuff is pretty old - but I'm sure a good rinse would make them like new. Is there a thrift store...or anywhere I can donate them? I am not looking to make any money - but it would be a shame to throw them away when someone else can get good use of them.
ETA: I'm in Nassau County.

Are there any kind of shelters in your area? Maybe they would take donations.....

Put them on Freecycle or Craig's list, someone will snatch them up.

I used to donate all my toys to UCP...they used to take everything except stuffed animals..Im sure they still do this.

the church by us is having a toy sale for used toys at the jewish center in huntington. they are giving tax deductions for it and accepting donations tuesdya and wed of this week. not sure how far you are from huntington.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of LI takes them. They have a number of drop off sites or if you call you can arrange a pick up.

Thanks! I have to disguise them on their way out so that my neighbor doesn't see . I will call a few of the places you mentioned!
