Where can I find info on Town ordinances/regulations

We're putting up a fence in front of our house and I'm not sure whether there are regulations on how far back it has to be set. wW're also fencing along the side and there is a stop sign on the corner -- I want to see if I can put up a privacy fence or if there are any height regulations because of the stop sign.

Does anyone know where I can find this information? We live in E. Northport, town of Huntington.

you can try to google it. It should come up (usually on the town's/inc. village's site..) If it doesn't, just call them up and ask them.

Call your local Town Planning department. They can provide all that information.

You can also look on generalcode.com. Click on E-code General Library, scoll down and pick the state you are in and then you can look for the town you live in. Then a search button will come up on the right and you can type in what you are looking for. Sometimes it is a little time consuming because you have to think of what it could be under if you can't find it right away but it usually will give you what you are generally lookign for and then you can scoll through them.
