Where can I sell/donate a strange piece of furniture?
Long story - DH picked up a set of old bowling alley benches years ago and he had good intentions of incorporating them into his (then) bachelor pad/house. The things have been sitting in our garage for years and even now when we're getting ready to finish our basement I see no room for them.
I've tried to list them on Craigs Lists but I'm not sure what section to put them in. None of our friends/family want them, and I'm not sure Salvation Army would take them.
Any suggestions? I'll post pics in my album soon. TIA!

The first thought I had was maybe a movie prop store would be interested???? They seem so unique, maybe someone in that business would be interested? No real leads but I follow a scouting blog here: http://www.scoutingny.com/ maybe if you email him he can point you in the right direction???

Thanks so much -- that's really helpful! Poor DH is so attached to them and he wanted to use them in our DR and then he wanted to put them on our deck for seating, and then in our family room for party seating and now he thinks he'll put them under a pergola in the backyard. I've told him it's been eight years -- we gotta let them go.

There's a store in Williamsburg called Junk that carries all sorts of stuff like this. You might want to Google them and see what they say. Good luck!

Try craigs list. Maybe put something like "Best Offer" on the ad.

Email the guys at American Pickers and see if they are interested, or know someone who is.
