Where can we go at night in Disney?

Jusy booked a trip with my fam... Hubby and I are going one night early and it will just be us two going out for dinner and a night on the town. I've heard that Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island is under contsruction.
where can we go for dinner (we have the dining plan) that allows us to walk somewhere nearby afterward?
boardwalks? Shops? etc....
TIA!

We just got back from Disney 3 weeks ago and one night DH and I and my sister and brother in law went to Downtown Disney. There was no construction. We had dinner at a really nice place and walked to the Pleasure Island side for drinks. It was packed and we had a lot of fun.

Well will you have a car? Do you want to use one or two TS credits? There are a lot of nice more adult oriented places but they require 2 TS credits.

Will you have a park ticket you can use?

If so:
Try California Grill - you could try to pick a night that either MK or EPCOT has EMHs - The trick it to try to go when there is either a sunset or when the fireworks are going on. The restaurant is on top of the Contemporary so you could take the monorail to either the MK or switch at the TTC and go to EPCOT where you could walk around - do some rides, have some drinks around the world.

The Grand Floridian also has some nice restaurants. You could do the same as above afterwards. Narcossee's and Citricos are 2 TS credits.

Epcot - Bistro de France- not sure if it is still on the dining plan I think they removed it (it used to be 2 TS credits) but that is a nice meal - you could walk around world showcase and have some drinks after dinner and watch the fireworks.

Over on the boardwalk - Kat Kora's place Kouzzina is 1 TS credit - and Flyin Fish is 2 TS credits - then you could walk around the boardwalk and do some of the activities over there.

There is lots to do over at DTD - but most of the Restaurants over there are not on the dining plan. Have you considered dinner and a movie or tickets to Cirque de Soleil and dinner? Reglan Road takes the dining plan (1 TS credit)

Re: Where can we go at night in Disney?

As has been mentioned, Downtown Disney is a popular spot for guests to go to in the evening. Depending on when you travel though, it can get quite crowded though. There are a number of restaurants located there, but not all accept the Disney Dining Plan. One thought would be a nice dinner at The Turf Club at Saratoga Springs which sits adjacent to DTD. You could then either walk to take the boat over to enjoy the nightlife. One great spot to head to is Ragland Road Irish Pub which always seems to be a lively choice!

My personal choice though is the Boardwalk area which ls located outside the back gate of Epcot. Aside from the restaurants available inside Epcot itself, there are 3 deluxe resort hotels (Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk Inn) located here along with some great dining options (Flying Fish, Yachtsman, Captain's Grille, Cape May Cafe, and more).

Entertainment-wise, the Boardwalk area features the ESPN Club (also a restaurant), Atlantic Dance Hall (a nightclub featuring bands and video DJ's), and Jellyrolls (great piano bar with dueling pianos!). The Boardwalk itself comes alive at night with street vendors and performers, plus you're only steps away from the IllumiNations show at Epcot (usually at 9PM).

Hope that helps!

If I were you, I would go to Epcot and instead of eating a meal at one place, stop in many places for a drink and a snack. Years ago before we got married we went to Disney and had a drink in every country in Epcot! THAT was a fun night!

I would recommend eating at one of the EPCOT resorts or in Epcot then heading to the Boardwalk for the night.

Jelly Rolls & the Atlantic Dance Hall are two of the very few places on property that do not allow kids. There's a cover for Jelly Rolls - it's a dueling piano bar - but it's worth it. I have never not had a great time there. It gets crowded after Illuminations lets out so get there around 9 for a table.

I was also just reading on DisBoards that there's karaoke at Kimonos Lounge in the Swan resort. That sounds like fun too.

Thanks so much everyone! Dinner on the boardwalk and then the dueling pianos sound right up our alley! Im so excited! I've been trying to make a reservation at Flying Fish Cafe but the website isnt allowing it. Ill have to try and call tomorrow!

We do have park tickets that we will be using the following day to meet my family. Otherwise Id be all over sampling food/wine around Epcot! Chat Icon

I definitely agree w/ sticking to the Boardwalk. DH & I stayed there last year & there was always so much going on at night.

I actually loved Cape May Cafe's dinner buffet (at the Beach Club). It was delicious! We actually liked the food there more than the food at California Grill...

When are you going? The International Food & Wine Festival in Epcot is going on from late September to mid-November. When we go, we usually get a babysitter for one evening and go there for an adult night out. Honestly, last year, I was contemplating flying down there for an overnight trip with just DH and I to sample the fare sans kiddos. (We are going there in November, but we'll have a newborn which means there will be no "adults only" nights. Chat Icon ).
