Where can you look up an architects and contractors have any complaints against them??

We want to "check out" any potential contractors & architects we may us on our house??

I check out if they are licensed and if they have any complaints with the county. I have the numbers somewhere at home but you may also be able to get that info with a google search.

ETA: You also should check the BBB (better business) website. bbbnewyork.org

in suffolk you can just call Suffolk County Consumer affairs & they'll tell you over the phone.
