Where did you buy your lighting fixtures from?
I am not loving anything I see in Lowes or Home Depot. Any other suggestions?

I've bought a couple from a local lighting place - N&S Lighting in Huntington. Bought one from Bellacor.com (after seeing it in person)...and one from westelm.com.

I was looking for specific finishes to match our other fixtures so I went online to get more of a selection. I bought a bunch of things from CSN Lighting.

chandelier for D.R.- Home Depot.
fixtures for 2 hallways- Creative Lighting off of Glen Cove Road- they can be pretty expensive- but the ones we bought were $45 each which wasn't too bad.

Both Lowes and HD offer tons more options that are in books. Did you look at them? There is so much more that they sell, you just have to special order them.

We went to a specialty lighting store and picked up some of their free catalogs (Murray Feiss was one, and there were others but the names are escaping me now.).
I picked most of my lighting straight out of the catalogs, had the specialty lighting store order them for me, and I have to say that I don't regret any of my purchases! (Well, maybe my kitchen chandelier a little, but that's my own fault because it was too fancy)...

We bought our largest fixtures at Bay Shore lighting. They have a website and beautiful showroom with lots of samples and catalogs- you can order anything from them. They were very helpful.
