Re: Where did you find your babys' name?
We didn't really go with books, we made a list of names we liked and went from there. We wanted to be sure it sounded good with our last name, and that it was easy to pronounce, and if shortened (which we do not perfer) it would still be nice.

Re: Where did you find your babys' name?
I've loved the name Ava for years so when I found out it was a girl I was pretty adamant about the name LOL. DH got to pick her middle name.
This time if its a girl we have absolutely NO idea. DH and I have very different taste when it comes to girl's names. We do agree on a boy's name though.
We didn't find them in books - it was just something that we liked.

Re: Where did you find your babys' name?
Although I am not PG...we do have names picked out. We picked them when we were on our HM sitting on the beach. Since we are Jewish...it's customary to use the first letter of the name of the last person who died...both our families had a person who died with an M name...so we thought it would be best to come up with M names. We tossed a few around, and honestly, I think it took us only a few until we both agreed on both girl and boy names. DH wrote them on a piece of paper and keeps it in his wallet....hopefully to be put to use one of these days.

We didn't really use books. We individually wrote down some names that we liked, looked up meanings online and discussed them. DH was very big on having a meaningful name.
Nathaniel means "Gift of God" and Alexander means "Protector of Mankind"

Was there a website that you found these meanings?

Re: Where did you find your babys' name?
We had a friend named Jarrett, who's name I always liked but I wanted to spell it different. After checking out websites, I saw the spelling of Jared I liked. Plus, I thought it was a strong name for a boy.

Re: Where did you find your babys' name?
I just found the BEST baby names book!
It's called "Beyond Jennifer & Jason. Madison & Montana"
It is organized extremely well, has names from all around the world, Shakespearian names, "trendy" names, you name it! (even has "Soap opera" names! )
I highly recommend it!
