Where did you have your child's baptism/baby naming?
Hi!
My DH and I are from different faiths, so we are having a baby blessing conducted by the same priest and rabbi that married us... however, we don't know where to hold the reception and are looking for ideas that are centrally located on Long Island..we live in central nassau.... we need a room that would hold around 100 people.... any thoughts? We were thinking about a fire house, but do you think that would be too tacky? Please help! Thanks!

We went to a very nice baptism party at Port Jefferson Station fire house. It was a really nice room and facility they had a about the same amount of people you are thinking

Re: Where did you have your child's baptism/baby naming?
We are having the actual ceremony at the church I grew up in, the one we were married in.
But our reception will be at the firehouse. My Dad is a commissioner/firefighter/very involved member of the fire department, and so we are taking advantage of the ability to use their function room.
I had my bridal shower there too - with the right decorations, it was beautiful...so I say go for it, I don't think it's tacky at all!
