Where do I put the car seat?
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokkee 2005. I was told to put it either behind the passenger seat or in the middle. But I've never heard of anyone putting it in the middle before. Where are you putting yours?

newborn in middle, facing backwards.. thats were i was told to put it and had it checked by the hospital they had a car seat saftey check.

I am putting ours in the middle.
The only way I wouldnt do this would be if the seat wasn't flat and therefore the carseat couldnt sit level. Or if there was no latch attachment in the middle.

Middle is the best. Ours is in the middle of our liberty and it is pita for me to get it out.

We have 2 carseats, so the middle is out for my newborn. She is behind the passenger seat. ALso, some cars are not equipped for a carseat to be in the middle. As long as its rear-facing, its fine.

the middle is the safest, I think
I had our dd's seat in the middle...we now have a convertible seat that is rear facing but on the passenger side

middle is the safest but if you have an armrest in the middle put it rear facing behind the passenger seat.

My car wont allow it in the middle...I have LATCH and there seems to only be a set of hooks on the driver and on the passenger side (using one from each side and putting it in the middle wasn't correct per the car manual) so I put it on the passenger side facing the trunk. It passed inspection. Passenger side is better incase you have to pull over...that side is always on the curb side.

The middle is supposed to be the safest place, especially if you have side air bags. If you need to put the car seat on the side, I've read you should disable the air bags.

That's why mine is in the rear passenger side (the 2nd safest place).
It is too hard for me to reach the middle. DS is way to heavy!!!!

I had mine behind the passenger seat, I couldn't get it in/out of the car easy enough from the middle...
