where do you buy your nursing bras and nursing pjs?
hi ladies,
i'm due in about 4 weeks and would like to get a couple of nursing bras ahead of time.
i'm a DD to begin with, and i know i'll get bigger so i need to get a really good measurement taken--i can't just buy off the rack.
i'm in nassau county but will go into western suffolk. any suggestions of a really good place? i've been to georgettes before, but the last time they measured me it was completely wrong and i hated the bras. a place like motherhood maternity doesn't work for me as i never fit in their bras.
also...any suggestions on where to get pjs that are good for nursing? i know i need nightgowns for the hospital, but i'd also like to get a shorts set. any idea where they have ones that are good for nursing?

for pjs I just like to wear bottoms I have had and got the nursing tanks from target.

I would only get a couple right now cause you will fluctuate after having the baby. I got two from Destination Maternity and then 2 from Motherhood and then waited until DS was about 2 months and got some from breakoutbras.com I LOVE the ones from breakoutbras. You can also get them from buy buy baby.

Ryan is 10wks + and I still just wear nursing tanks from Target in a size large. I feel like if you buy the nursing bras then you have to get the wardrobe to go with it and I didn't want to spend $$ on nursing clothes other than tanks.

When I was nursing I always wore the bravado bras. I bit pricey, but so worth it. You can order online. For pj's I used to order from expressiva.com or motherwear.com. HTH.

Breakout Bras
I love their bras...I think I have the Fancee Free with no underwire. It's great, very comfortable.
I do recommend going back to Motherhood and getting a few of their sleep bras. They are around $11 and stretch alot so you don't need a big size. They are a must, I wear them around the house alot if I'm not going out. Very easy to slip down the "cup" part to nurse.

I have the target nursing tanks (I found they run a little small, but other then that they are great) I bought 2 of them and a sleep bra (medela)before DS was born and then waited to buy more bras until after he was born

thanks everyone! i'm so happy to get replies!
i already have a sleep bra...with my huge bazongas i have NO support in it. i guess that's why i wanted a "real" bra...but i don't know my size! do any of these places measure and fit you? i'm huge to begin with and know i'm going to get bigger so that's why i'm so worried.

I am in NJ, there is a place by me that specializes in nursing bras, the fit you, etc, but that doesn't help you......I know at motherhood/mimi maternity the sales people will help fit you. What they told me was to go up one cup size and one band size---that worked in the beginning, but once the engorgement stage was over, I was in the same cup size as I was prebaby and just up one band size---but everyone is so different.
Also, a lot of sites online have very detailed instructions on how to check your own size---I don't have a Bravado bra, but I was looking into them and they have detailed instructions and also a number to call to talk to a fit specialist. I have the medela soft cup bra (available at gap.com), that one is nice because it can stretch and it was nice in the beginning when my size was going up and down. GL!l

I love my bravado bra...on breakoutbras.com they give you a nice description of each bra and weather they run true to size or buy them a cup bigger etc.

Nursing tanks at Target are a MUST... i wear them everyday (basically as a bra) This way when you lift your shirt to nurse, you dont expose your stomach to anyone around you!

I buy my bras in target and i wear my reg pjs..you can buy them in motherhood though
