Where do you draw the line?
This has been bothering me for days. Ever since my friends father was beaten to death right outside his home because he told a car thief to just go away...I have decided to not get involved in things anymore and just let it be whatever it is.
So this means, I am going to start watching my mouth in the car, my hand gestures..you never know who is driving that other car. Ok..but its SO HARD not to get angry when they cut you off or almost hit you or dont move out of the way. Ok but I vowed to stay more calm.
If I see something in the street, I vowed to keep my mouth shut. A couple of months ago I posted how 2 girls started beating on my mother, my sister and I because my mom told them to get dressed (they were walking down the street naked and drunk) before they got themselves raped. We all could have been killed just for voicing concern. Next time..get raped in the streets for all I care.
But where do you draw the line. I just went to go outside. A guy is sitting on my front steps. This is a private house. Hes on his cell phone and he had done this once before. I went out the last time, just stood there and looked at him and he got up and walked away. Same guy..and now I am MAD! How do you have the right to sit on someone elses private property to talk on your cell phone???? It p isses me off!! But now, I am afraid to say anything because you just never know. But then again, am I supposed to go on having people just be disrecpectful????
Its such a fine line and it makes me so mad that I have to weigh the situation so much just because people are crazy.
Would you ask him to move? WWYD?

Re: Where do you draw the line?
I would just tell him, "This is private property, you need to have your conversation elsewhere." I actually have done this when I was renting - I lived on a busy street and a few times people would sit on our front steps, once or twice a drunk person. If they are confrontational, call the cops.
I understand your reluctance, but I'd be afraid that if I didn't say anything, he would just keep coming back.
