Where do you get inspiration for home decorating?

Besides pinterest?

I'm having a hard time because we are in this transition peiod (have been since we bought). Short backstory...we bought our house but lived with family for first year so DH could redo the entire upstairs. We have all of these projects going and lined up that decorating has been so out of my mind.

But I need 1 room done! Kids' rooms are pretty much finished. Our bedroom is under partial construction. We are going to be knocking a wall down in the kitchen soon. So I need 1 adult room done, lol.

Where do you get inspiration for home decorating?

I usually just head to Home Goods or a similar store and look around. Something catches my eye and then I formulate a theme around that item. Or use an item you love that you already own. I usually get a lot of ideas once I find that one item.

I designed my whole bathroom with inspiration found on Houzz
Love it.
Also I bought the light fixture right off tbe site. It's great

Everywhere.

I watch a lot of HGTV. I love looking at homes in magazines and online. Pinterest, houzz, people’s houses through the years, home goods.

I decorated my entire guest room based on a side table and these 3 mini flower pots w pink & red flowers in them that my SIL was getting rid of. I took them home, put them in the empty room and little by little designed the entire room.
