Where do you like to stay in Atlantic City?
I'm looking to plan a little getaway with the hubs and need some recommendations. Thanks!

When we go to AC, we stay at a little B&B just outside AC in Ventnor City, NJ. It's a 10 min. drive from the casinos, and right on the boardwalk.
The Carisbrooke Inn
Also, if you're into wine, there's a great winery in Egg Harbour City. We stopped there on our way home last time we went to AC, and had a great time. There are coupons on the website for a free tour and tasting, which are awesome!

Harrahs - the rooms are really big, the beds are SUPER comfortable and they have a really great climate controlled tropical pool area.

We've stayed at the Tropicana twice and both times the rooms were great. good restaurants in there too.

tropicana is nice as long as you get a bed.
borgata is wonderful but very expensive.
ceasers is nice too.
i like to stay on the boardwalk so we can walk along the boardwalk.

i stay at ballys, which isn't the best but i always get comped rooms so free is good

I like the Tropicana b/c there's so much going on -
Stayed @ the Borgata a few times - dissapointed. Not alot happening, the room was nice, but nothing to  about and the casino is 'eh'

aw! we love the Borgata and find the best people watching there, especially the young club goers! Rooms are great and the POOL is amazing
we also like the casino better than others. yes it is expensive, but we got comped because dh is a degenerate gambler lol
it is off the boardwalk, but dh and i have stayed at the taj, showboat, and trump plaza on the boardwalk and don't like it anymore because it's seedy.

I totally agree with the PP....Borgata is the best hotel in AC, you can't compare the class to the others..the clubs, the restaurants and just an overall ambiance......Also, since the Water Club (part of the Borgata) opened, we stay there. They have the best outdoor pool!! very South Beach style!!!
We have a casino host so we don't pay for the rooms and dining!! I always recommend getting one!!!
We stayed at the Tropicana once for a change and hated it, the hotel rooms which don't even compare to Borgata and the casino which is dated (yuck). The only ok part was the restaurants and shopping.

I did my bach and my friends at Borgata--while it is nice--I prefer Harrah's (DH and I stayed there and loved it) but I would reccomend both

tropicana, make sure you book the new tower section, not the old part of the hotel.

ITA. The Trop is great. The Borgata the beautiful, but b/c its off the strip, if you want to spend time in any of the other hotels, you have to drive or cab it.

If you want to save a little cash, there is a Hampton Inn just outside of the strip. It is beautiful right on the bay, clean, safe, and free breakfast. They have a free shuttle to the strip and I remember the taxi ride home was less than $5.
The hotels on the boardwalk are pricey in the summer, and borgata is usually one of the highest, unless you have bonus points, etc. This is a great way to save, then you have more $$ for gambling/food/drinks, etc.
