where is your favorite ?

what/where is your favorite bar to go out for drinks ?

I'm going out with my girlfriends and am looking for a new place to go.
We wanted a place with a dance floor.

ETA : I'm 33 years old, so looking for a place that won't be filled with 19 year olds.

A lot of people go to Lily Flanagans in babylon,deer park ave.I've been there, its a good place!

Where do you live? I used to go to Mulcahy's a lot - fun place, but it's VERY young - as in, I went there when I was 23, 24 and felt that there were a lot of people that were 19, 20. (Illegally, of course.)

I live in Huntington now and we go to Finley's sometimes. They have bands and DJs on the weekends - we go during the week when there's nothing but sat. radio, but I have been there when they have DJs and they play good stuff. It's small, though and gets crowded.

I'm not sure where you are located, but I live in Franklin Square and there's a bar that we always go to (we were even there last night for new years) and we LOVE it!

It's called "Shackletons", it's on Hempstead Tpke, in Franklin Square.

ETA: Sorry I just noticed that you mentioned you wanted a dance floor....no dance floor at Shackletons...
The Nutty Irishman is good for that though!

Finleys in Huntington used to be a good place for an older crowd (not sure if that's still the case). Also, don't know if they have a dance floor, but Meehans on NY Ave, also in Huntington, is an older scene. Believe the min age to get in there is 23.
