Where should we go for our 1 Yr??
OK, we just bought our 1st home last month & our 1 year anniversary is in @ 3 months. We want to go somewhere nice, but don't want it to be soooooo ridiculously expensive that it messes up our home expenses. Does anyone have any suggestions? Oh, and if anyone wants to pay for a trip back to Hawaii for us, we won't mind. I really wanted to go to Italy, but we're thinking too much $$$

Someone just told me about Costco travel. They may have some good deals. Or, look on jetblue's site for their getaway deals. Happy Anniversary!

We did Aruba for our 1 year. It was nice and not too $$$, but definitely not as good as Hawaii. Aruba is good though becaus eyo uare safe from hurricanes.

We went to Jamaica Sandals for our first anniversary. It was so nice, we just relaxed and sat by the pool with drinks in hand.
It was alittle pricy probably about $2500 for 4 nights 5 days but remember that included all food and drinks. Especially in the summer months you can ususally get good deals to the islands!!!

Was that $2500 per person? I'm assuming it is per person. All inclusive? That's not bad!

We didnt go anywhere for our 1 yr anniv except a nice dinner at The River Cafe in Brooklyn....but for our 2 yr we went to the Moon Palace in Mexico. (Palace Resorts all-inclusive). This was back in 2004 and it was about 2500 total for 2 people which included all food, airfare, hotel and transfers. It was awesome place - we also got several free excursions included in the package -- one was to the Mayan Ruins and another was a snorkeling day. Palace Resorts are wonderful.

It's a 8 day E.Caribbean on Royal Caribbean.

OK, talked it over with my DH & we're leaning towards a cruise. We've never been on one, so we're looking into it. Now, where on a cruise??? Too many decisions.

No that was for 2. I think in the end we paid alittle more as we upgraded to an oceanview room. It was all inclusive and we went in the summer, check their site they usually have good deals going on. We went to the Sandals Dunns River

A cruise is a nice first anniversary trip! You can go out of NY if you want & save on the airfare. I would stick to areas though outside of the hurricane belt in the summer months!
We did a cruise for our HM & loved every minute of it! We were going to do one for our 1st anniversary but we are saving our time & $$ for a vacation this summer!!

Yep, we wanna leave out of NY. What cruise line did you go on? Do they offer shorter cruises for like 4 days? I keep seeing 7 days, 10 days, 14 days......But none really for less than a week.

Hello date twin!
We are doing Japan, but a month before our anniversary.
ETA- that is a lot of money, but affordable for us, b/c of where we live. Aruba is beautiful! If you get a good deal, and you just want to sit on the beach and relax, I suggest it!
