Where to buy rugs?
I really just need to decent aread rugs, nothing too big and I don't want to spend a lot. Where have you bought rugs?

I got all excited when I saw that you posted about this store, since we just moved to West Babylon and there is one of these stores jsut down the road. I called my friend who lives in the neighborhood to see if she wanted to go and she advised me not to go by myself! She said it's kind of sketchy! So I didn't go. I figure if I really want to check it out I'll go with my husband one day. Yikes! Did you have this experience when you went there, BobBsWife?

No I shop there all the time ( the one on 110 in farmingdale) I don't find it sketchy at all!! Its like a dollar store but with more stuff that isn't a dollar. I get my picture frames from them as well as various household items!

LMAO! It is the one in W Babylon. Ive been in other NWL's and they were fine - the one in WB is definitely sketchy I laughed out loud b/c its a good description
ETA: HD & Lowes had some nice inexpensive ones ($99 for 5x7, $179 for 8x10) they were decent quality for the price IMO. My SIL bought 2 beautiful ones at Macys Clearance center - very nice ones too - $100 for an 8x10

ok...im glad my friend wasn't being overprotective! Maybe I'll try Farmingdale, but where is this Macy's clearance center you speak of????

The Macys clearance place is in Carle Place. Its on Glen Cove Rd. - north of Old Country Road and West of Meadowbrook Pkwy. I havent been there myself but my SIL said to definitely go there - I'll have to ask her if its a hit or miss thing - Im assuming so since its a clearance place but worth a shot at those prices.

Home Goods is great but it is hit or miss, I recently bought three rugs at Fortunoff's. I didn't go top notch, but I love the ones we got and they were reasonable.
