Where to get a REAL ACCURATE bra measurement???
Okay, since having DS I know my bbs have changed and my old bras are not cutting it, 1-b/c they are old and 2-not the right size.
I need a place to get measured, NOT Macys, NOT Victoria's Secret, and NOT Georgettes.
I am rather large busted (current size I wear is 38DDD) and know that I am not wearing the right size. I want to get a few bras, but dont want to waste money on the wrong size!

Don't know if this is too far from you or not, but the Maidenform outlet at Tanger does personal fittings. They were FABULOUS. I went there when I was pregnant and needed bigger bras, they were great.

anyone else find that they are different sizes with different bras (different manufacturers?)
i am a 34 C from one manufacturer and a 36 A in another

I would think if things aren't fitting you need an E cup or even F...
DDD usually are cut smaller for some reason..
Fredericks has the prettiest F cups..

I agree. Most recently, I did this. Then I went bra shopping. Brought a whole bunch in with me and tried on maybe 20 bras of two different sizes. I ended up with two bras (both different sizes) that fit perfectly. Then, I ordered them online and got some discounts.
I agree though about Nordstroms. I've been fitted there before.
What happened at the other places?

Nordstroms in Roosevelt Field. Ask for Emily B. She was great with me, really fit me well and I love the bras I now have in my size (36DDD).

At Macy's the lady measured me, but the bras in that size just didn't feel right.
At Georgette's, I went there for a bra for my wedding, which was great. I also bought 2 everyday bras. In the store they felt okay, but I wore them each maybe once b/c they just didnt feel like the right size.
At Victoria's Secret, they do NOT have my size. i have outgrown them, it's very sad-just gave away like 15 bras! 
I am going to measure tonight after DS goes to bed!
Thank you ALL for your thoughts/suggestions. PS I may check out Fredericks tomorrow! They have pretty ones in big sizes!!

it's a bit of a shlep for u, but i recently was measured and bought new bras at lingerie by susan in edison, NJ.
it turns out that i have been wearing the wrong size for years!

Yup. When I used to shop in V.S. I was a B. I haven't been a B since H.S.  I'm no longer a V.S. shopper. There prices continue to skyrocket but the quality is  . I also cannot stand the pink line.
