Where to have 1st birthday
DH and I have been going back and forth about renting a hall and doing all the work or just having it someplace where everything is taken care of.
Looking for something in the Smithtown, Ronkonkoma, Hauppauge, Bohemia area that is large enough to fit over 80 people and has a dance floor. I have no clue where to look.

Re: Where to have 1st birthday
What month? We had a huge party for DS' 1st b-day, we had it a park. we reserved an area, got a big tent lots of games and water stuff (it was July) and had the ice cream man come. It was a great time and we weren't limited on space that way.

Re: Where to have 1st birthday
There are two halls next to each other on rte 112, near the Meadow Club. One is a VFW and I think the other is like a BPOE. Also, there is a VFW in Centereach. It's right near the corner of Nicolls Rd and rte 25. (It's set back slightly off 25, so you don't see it. If you want to know where it is exactly, let me know.)

There is a place in Port Jefferson by the water- here is the website. You can bring in your own food or get it catered.

Re: Where to have 1st birthday
We had Ava's first birthday at the Holiday Inn on Vets Hwy in Ronkonkoma. At first I was a little sketched out at having it in a basement hall type place, but when I saw the rooms, I was really impressed. The prices were great and people raved about the food. I would absolutely use them again for a function.
