Where to shop for petite MEN?
DH and I went shopping this weekend and he tried on about a bazillion things at Banana Republic - dress shirts and sweaters, mostly. And EVERYTHING was huge on him. He's kind of a slim guy and he runs into this problem a lot with dressier clothes. His dress shirts mostly work fine under a jacket, but nothing works as a standalone. Anyone have a suggestion of where we can find nice fitting, higher quality clothes for a slim/petite guy?

He might want to look into getting shirts specifically made for his size. I know someone who did that and his shirts look great. He could also bring everything to a good tailor.

we have the opposite problem in my house
but everything that fits my DH in the chest/shoulders- hangs in the waist
he gets everything taken in - or he gets custom shirts
the custom shirts look the best on him

Express Men has very tailored shirts/dress clothes.
A 2XL from there doesn't even fit Rich.

really?- Jake wears a XXL from there- it's the only store we can buy off the rack shirts

they range depending on the fabric and who is making them
I have seen them at places like mens wearhouse for $60 and up
but for some reason the ones my DH gets are $125 and up (and he picks the most expensive fabric  )
even getting a regular off the rack dress shirt and taking it to tailor is going to make a big difference

most mens dress shirts come in "fitted"... my BIL wear them since he works out a lot and has that V shape

I've seen "fitted" shirts at Syms but they didn't have DH's size, so he's never tried them, but he has the same problem.
He is tall, but thin & small framed. His shirts look very baggy when he tucks them in. I suggest getting them tailored, but he can't be bothered.
Besides Mens' Wearhouse, where can you get custom shirts?

Ooh, fancy!  I'm not on LI, and Dh is way too low maintance for that, I was just curious, but maybe it will help Whamtastic.

Unfortunately, I'm not on LI either. I did, however, pass a custom shirt shop on my way to work this morning. Maybe I'll check it out.
