Where to throw a joint bday party in NYC?
Need to find a good bar/restaurant for a joint party for me and a guy friend of mine in April.
We both live in NYC and will probably want to be downtown somewhere...
Would prefer a place:
1. We can rent out an open bar for a few hours
2. we can dance!
3. that can accommodate over 100 ppl
4. unisex (so not like a strip club or a coyote ugly type place! )
All suggestions are welcome!!!
(For an idea...I really like MercBar downtown...but there's no dancing really.... )

The location is kinda lame (3rd ave btw 27th and 28th), but this place allows you to set up an open bar, has a space you can rent and you can do internet jukebox or hook up your own ipod so you can pick your own music for the night. I haven't been there, but someone suggested it to me when I was looking to plan a a party (they didn't have availability on the date I was looking)

my best friend had a party at La Cave and we had a blast... i don't know if you can rent out a room but it can't hurt to call!

For my 30th this year, we are going to One Little West 12th Street. Its a restaurant / lounge type place. Looks like fun & I heard great reviews...

Last year I went to a 30th Bday party at Providence (57th and 8th).
