Which baby carrier do you reccommend?
Thank you!
ETA: Actually, I am specifically looking for two -
1. that DH can use all around outside (we live in NYC) that will be most comfortable AND most secure for the baby. AND
2. that I can wear around the house. - i guess like a sling or something but I am worried about how secure these are....
So two different ones or else just one for DH. TIA!

I have a Baby Bjorn sport and I love it!
I also have a sling that I didn't use much. Now that he is bigger and can sit up better, I used it a few times to carry DS on my hip. It's great for that!

Re: Which baby carrier do you reccommend?
Do you mean like a Baby Bjorn, or sling?
ETA: My DS is only 5.5 weeks, but I love my Bjorn.

We use a Mei Tei and DD 14 months still loves to be worn in it. We also have a ring sling I used since birth but prefer the Mei Tei... DH likes the Bjorn.

Re: Which baby carrier do you reccommend?
Check out the Ergo carrier -- it holds the baby very securely. I have a sling that I really like -- it's great because you can pop the baby in and out very easily (great for when you're out running errands), but the hold is not as secure as the Ergo. I also have a Moby wrap which holds the baby very securely, but it is a little complicated to get on, but it's very comfortable (would probably be hot in the summer, though). I have Bjorn, too, which I liked at first, but now that I have gotten more experience with carriers I'm not as fond of -- you can really only use it for the first few months -- the others you can use for much longer.

The Ergo is amazing! On occassion Jack still rides piggy back in it! After having the Ergo, I hate the Bjorn. It does not support your back as well and it doesn't work for big babies. You can carry baby for hours in the ergo and never feel pain or get that tired. Molly loves riding piggy back in the ergo...she always falls asleep!

Re: Which baby carrier do you reccommend?
I absolutely my moby baby carrier. You can wear your baby so many different ways. And it transitions from infant to toddler. I brought DS to a party in it and he didn't cry once. People couldn't believe how good he was.

Moby wrap, Ella Roo Ring Sling, Ella Roo Wraps, Hotsling, peanut shell. Im actually looking into a Mei Tei (sp?) right now. They look so darn cool. I hate the BB's with a passion!
