which bassinet and travel pack n' play?
I'm starting to research registry stuff. I know we want to keep a bassinet in the bedroom for the first few months but there are SO many to choose from. Which did you all register for?
Also, I love the Graco pakc n' plays for when we visit family (and even to just keep in the livingroom which we're home). Which one would you all recommend? I kind of like the "suite" version with the built in shelves, but it also seems a bit bulky.
Any suggestions?

Re: which bassinet and travel pack n' play?
I registered for the Graco Pack n Play- Milan and for the arm's reach mini co-sleeper with hemp lining. I chose the co-sleeper over a traditional bassinet because the co-sleeper lasts until 6 months and the bassinet I think only about 3.

I think I am going to get this bassinet from BRU. I will also register for a Graco PNP, but probably not use it until she grows out of the bassinet. I have space issues.

Bassinet
Okay...this is the bassinet I was thinking of registering for. I love it, but I'm just not sure if I really need both the bassinet AND the PNP.

Re: which bassinet and travel pack n' play?
If you are in a ranch I suggest just opting for just the pack-n-play. One with the bassinet feature.
If you are not in a ranch and/or plan on having a lot of overnight stays away from home in the first 3 months I'd go with 2 pack -n-plays. 1 w/ the bassinet feature that will stay in your room and 1 simple one for travel & your living room.
I have 2 and they are very handy. I keep one at my MILS as we put dd to sleep a lot there and 1 for travel & guests with babies.
I'm not a big fan of the bassinet's in BRU or BBB unless you spend $$$ on a wood one. Most are plastic, not very well built and have low weight restrictions.
ETA: A co-sleeper is like a bassinet hat "attaches" to the side of your bed. It is a great alternative although if you have a C-Section or a bad episomity it can be challenging the first few days to "scoot" all the way down the bed to get in & out.
They do sell a mini a bit less $ but the full size converts to a pack-n-play later.

Its a bassinet that has one side open so you can pull it up to the bed. The baby has her own area but you don't have to lift to get her out. Make sense now? I think its hard to picture without seeing it in person so I hope that helps!

This is the co-sleeper I registered for. Kind of a cross between the pnp and a bassinet. Functions as a bassinet that can attach to your bed, and is a little bigger than the standard bassinets.
