Which Cabinets if you were building a brand new kitchen

Just wondering if you had to choose between dark or light, wich would you choose, here are some pics to help

dark, but only if the kitchen is big or has a lot of natural light.

IMO, I like Dark Cabinets but with wood floors, I would go with the lighter ones to break it up a bit.

The reason i am asking, is cause as i am researching i am noticing that many of the new builds that are for sale, are done with light cabinets. And also i am searching homes that are selling for 1.5 million plus on MLSLI and most are done with light cabinets.

Our kitchen is northern exposure so there isnt much sun, there is a window over the sink, and an 8 foot slider, and a 6 foot slider so there is light that would be coming in.

I am also trying to figure out our design style and we both love alot of heavy white moldings

I prefer light cabinets. Which is what we put in when we redid our kitchen.

we are having a new home built and I'm doing white cabinets with wood floors..thats just my preference..I like the look of an open and bright kitchen..

I love the dark especially because I have light now and I am constantly wiping them down They hide alot more.

I love the creamy white or antique white ones. I feel they will look less dated in time than Cherry. I find Cherry too red sometimes, I am not a fan of them.

I LOVE LOVE the dark cabinets. I will be getting dark cabinets for our new house just like the ones you have posted.

I prefer natural wood, so I definitely would not go with the white/off white. I voted for other.

I am a fan of light cabinets, especially with wood floors.

I have dark cabinets with a light color tile and a med/light counter.

I'm a big fan of light cabinets, especially with wood floors. I just think it brightens up the kitchen. Good luck!!

We are building a brand new house and we went with a light walnut color cabinets, white marbled countertops, and steel appliances. The knobs on the cabinets are going to be white porcelain with a green handpainted flower. We've got wood floors in the kitchen.

I can't wait to see it!!! I will post pictures when its done.

I would not go with white or light oak nor dark cherry or the like. I think dark is in now but it may go out like chrome wallpaper did 30 years ago. I like a medium maple color.

I vote light only because I like a lot of "white" in a kitchen. I just like to eat in a well lit room and it just looks cleaner to me. I know thats nuts. The resat of our house has a lot of color though.

Well we went to the cabinet place, and we ordered the white cabinets, with a chocolate glaze. so it gives it that antique look. We also reserved our granite slabs the color is ivory chiffon. wich is also light.

What made us choose is our first floor is an open floor plan, with no walls and our kitchen faces north, so if we did dark cabinets and dark countertops, our designer felt it would be to closed and dark feeling, when the house is going for that open airy feel. We are doing alot of thick white crown moldings throughout the house and also moldings on the wall.

So light it is! Thanks for your opinions
