Which camcorder do you own?
DH & I are looking to buy a camcorder and are completely clueless. We definitely want a digital one. Should we get one that writes directly to a DVD or one with a tape? Which one do you have and how do you like it?

SONY handicam
w/ tape but my computer changes to dvd
I was going to get the dvd one but supposedly you cant edit ? or erase like tapes

Sony mini DV camcorder...
i edit everything, then burn to dvd
i wouldnt invest in dvd camcorder

Sony Handycam - miniDV though - we didn't feel the DVD technology was ready yet.

We have a Sony Digi-Cam...but it's old and the new ones are so much nicer. I would go to Consumer Reports and check the ratings....
