Which Disney Park Requires the Least Amount of Time

We are going for 4 nights 5 days, but trying to stick with one park per day. With a toddler, not sure if hopping around would work.

We want at least one full day of MK, one day at Epcot and then we have one full day left and either the day we arrive or leave (just a half day) for the other 2 parks.

We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, so there will be lots of animals there so I am thinking of going to AK on the half day,but is there alot to do for a full day at the Hollywood Studios?

Re: Which Disney Park Requires the Least Amount of Time

I've only been to Epcot, MK and HS...IMO Hollywood studios would be the least amount of time.

Re: Which Disney Park Requires the Least Amount of Time

Well we usually do hoppers but I only do 1/2 days at HS and AK now and then do additional evenings at MK and EPCOT as my girls can't get enough of those parks. We tend to get to a park when it opens tour for a few hours and then head back to our hotel for a few hours then go back to the parks for dinner and some more rides.

I think the answer really depends on your child. Is your DC a sitter? Will they do okay in lines and then sit for longer show after show? If the answer is yes then I would say HS for a longer day. My girls didn't really enjoy the shows as much at the age they were when we went and with a 12 month old and almost 3 year old we were better at AK over HS. IRL most of our friends prefer AK over HS until the children get a little older - but I know some on here are the opposite. AK has more to walk around and see and do (there are many things to do that do not involve animals too it isn't just a zoo).

HS is a nice park but if your DC won't want to do multiple shows then it might be better as a morning park. There are several rides at HS that have height requirements (roller coaster, tower or terror, star tours). For US - my girls (DD#1 was the same our 1st and the 2nd trip) - they loved toy story mania ride, playhouse disney show (now disney jr), honey I shrunk the kids play area, and the character meet and greets (there is also a nice character lunch/breakfast), and the muppet 4D movie - otherwise they weren't as interested in the rest. Now that they are older 2 and 4 I know that they would enjoy more of the shows.

I think a lot of what parks they like and don't like can be very subjective. My girls love MK and EPCOT but from reading on here there are many who don't like EPCOT. I would say go and read descriptions of the parks/rides/shows from something like The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World and then see what you think your DC will enjoy the most.

Thanks. Maybe we should get the hopper. DD will not even be 3 when we go. She probably won't sit for very long.

Hmm I would probably prefer HS over AK , which sounds like a big zoo, but not sure if she will sit for long shows.

I definitely plan on doing a full day of Epcot a full day, plus a night for Mickey's Very Merry Xmas at MK, but was thinking that was enough for those 2.

I know I keep thinking it can't be that much better than the Bronx Zoo

I like the park hopper option b.c you can go to AK in the morning, go back to your hotel, nap, shower or swim or whatever, then hit MK or EPCOT (where most of the good restaurants are) at night time. This way you could do 1/2 days at both parks and get more time out of whatever parks you enjoy the most (be it HS, MK, EPCOT or AK). You are not locked into a full day at one park that you don't like or if you missed out on something you can go back to that park.

We have a membership to the Bronx Zoo and honestly we still love the AK - we don't do most o the animal exhibits. We go on the safari ride, there is a boneyard play area, dinosaur ride like dumbo, 4D tough to be a bug movie, there is a cute nemo show and lion king show we missed this past trip. There is a lot to do besides walking around and looking at animals. I think people just hear animals and think it is a zoo. But again I think what parks people like is very subjective. While we always do HS - it has never been a favorite of mine. I enjoy it but don't love it. But there are others who hate EPCOT and love HS so it really depends on your individual likes and dislikes. That is why I usually don't push any park but say I like this... but I suggest you go and read the unofficial guide in detail about the rides and shows and see what you think you will enjoy the most.

BTW if you get to the AK before it opens about 15 mins early a few minutes before the park rope drop they have a little skit where Minnie, Mikey and friends ride in on a little safari truck and do a skit to open the par
