Which do you think is worse for a guy?

To hear he was dumped because there was no chemistry or to hear he was dumped because she just wasn't ready for a serious relationship?

No chemistry.

But I am always suspicious of the "not ready for a serious relationship." Maybe because I used it a couple times and the true meaning was, "I might throw up if I have to come close to kissing you." But maybe that makes it a lack of chemistry issue? Chat Icon

my brother was crushed when his enagement ended so I would say "if she just wasen't ready for a serious relationship" since that was her reasoning. I think when a guy finally sees the house, the kids, a wife in his head and then the girl changes her mind is worse then a change in chemistry.

Chat Icon Too funny... that is so applicable to what I'm asking.

So do you think that if the guy heard "she's just not ready for a serious relationship" that he would be let down easy or would it leave room for hope?

worse is no chem but I think not ready for a serious relationship leaves some room for hope for the person. If it were serious enough to already be engaged, then there is a deeper problem than no chem or serious relationship but the other person does not want to say.

Re: Which do you think is worse for a guy?

I would think no chemistry just because of the timeline
IMO breaking up with a guy because of no chemistry would happen by the 3rd date, so I doubt he's thinking marriage also.

IMO the "not ready for a serious relationship" is harsher because he's already put his feelings on the table and she's said no. Like on 2 and 1/2 men, the girl told Charlie Sheen she loved him and he said Thanks Chat Icon
