Which Dress? Bump for update and photo op feedback
Update at bottom:
Okay ladies-switching gears back to Thanksgiving time:
DS is due right around Thanksgiving, in fact I may be coming home with him on Thanksgiving.
In any case, I'll be taking him for newborn pics within a couple of days. Claire bear will be in a few of his pictures, so she needs the perfect dress. The dress will also double as a Thanksgiving dress.
His coming home/newborn pic outfit will be something like this-not sure if brown or an oatmeal color:
For DD, I found these two dresses, I think the one with the hearts may look better in pics. Decisions decisions...
Or, are we down on brown? I kind of wanted to keep with a fall feel.

i like the brown one with hearts if youre doing the brown one piece for your new lil bundle..
if you do oatmeal though like you mentioned..i think nothing is more beautiful then a lil girl in winter white for around that time

 You crack me up! I love them all, but here are my thoughts:
I'd do the striped Gap one, so cute! I feel like it definitely still says “Fall” and coordinates with the baby’s outfit (works with both brown and oatmeal, whichever you decide)…and I like the additional colors in it, I feel like it would help brighten up the picture a bit too (esp. if baby’s wearing the dark brown).
I do like the one with hearts, but not sure I'd love it if baby wears the oatmeal...and if he wears the brown, it may be too much brown maybe?? Same with the one with butterflies (actually that's a lot more solid brown, so I'd like it even less than the one with hearts).
If you do the dark brown for  , the solid color white/off-white one would be cute too. Wouldn't like that dress with the oatmeal outfit on though. Too bland for my taste (I love color )
So, in summary , I vote for the striped Gap dress...with either the oatmeal or brown for .
ETA: Again, my disclaimer is that I love color, so I’ll almost always vote for something with color.

I like the white one - chances are you don't have DS on a white backround for the pics so she won't clash with whatever you put ds in or the backround. You can always "fall" it up with hair clips, tights and shoes or maybe a little scarf.

I LOVE the last 2 dresses. If your DS in in ivory I'd def. use the last one. It is GORGEOUS!!!
ETA: If he is wearing brown, the stripes might overpower his outfit. The heart dress would "blend" more but you could still use the ivory one if your DS is wearing brown -- they would match but not blend together.

I agree. I wouldn't want a pattern on a sibling if the focus is supposed to be on the baby.

I love the cream colored cowl-neck one from the GAP, especially if he is wearing chocolate. If he ends up wearing oatmeal I would go with a chocolate or something for her.

and a simply brown coverall, something similar to this:
As much as I like the cable knit coverall, I think it wouldn't work with the hat an booties...
I am thinking that the cream dress would work best-hoping his hat and booties are enough to jazz it up the whole picture?

Exactly-I figure with an autumn theme. Thinking maybe three pictures, a big one of just him and then smaller ones of the two of them off to the sides (or something like that).
