Which flight would you choose?
We're going to CA in June. As far as I'm aware, there are no direct flights from CT (where we live). We're coming back on a weekday and plan to go to work the following day.
One option is to arrive in CT at 9:35 p.m. However, there's only 30 minutes between our connecting flights. Is that enough? The other option is to arrive at midnight. We'll probably be tired at work the next day, but we have over an hour between flights. Which would you choose? TIA.

30 minutes is tough. what if your flight is late for whatever reason?
I would try and leave from a different airport where you can get a direct flight even if you have to drive a bit.

I think 30 mins is cutting it too close.

That's the MINIMUM you can have in conneting flight. It's too close for comfort. Especially when you have to count waiting for everyone to take their carry-on luggage/get out of the plane. Then you have to find your gate (if it's in the same terminal), etc..
I like 1 hour to 1.5 hour between flights.

Where are you connecting? If it's a teeny airport it'll probably be okay, but still a very close call. If it's anything bigger than teeny I would say it's impossible!
imho: Being tired at work will be better than be stuck at an airport somewhere because you missed your connection

Re: Which flight would you choose?
Airline? Airport? Alot of factors would go into my decision on a tight connection.
Obviously, the size of the airport.. but also the frequency of flights back to CT that evening, the airline's tendency to hold the flight for connections, etc.

I would go for the later flight, 30 minutes is too close.
Would you consider travelling a little further to an airport where you could get a non-stop flight? It might be worth it!

Re: Which flight would you choose?
also depends on the airline. 30 minutes would make me nervous and if its american forget it -- you'll never make it.
