If money is a concern, old school ipods (classic) or the newest nano's...

Re: Which ipod do you recommend?
I bought my brother an Ipod classic for christmas. If you go on the apple website and compare the amount of memory/number of songs the actual ipod holds I think the classic is the best choice for your money compared to the ipod shuffle and nano.

Each iPod serves a different purpose...
The Shuffle is the cheapest and doesn't have a screen. Its title serves as its purpose...You load up your music, and a random song will turn on when you hit forward. This is great for running, working out, or you just want something really tiny...
Nano is bigger and offers a small screen. The classics don't have video playback where the news ones do. The new generation is bigger then then old (old is like the size of a couple of sticks of gum)
iPod classics is cheaper because of the type of memory used and no touch screen like the iPod Touch... The Touch used memory card type memory which means if the it were to fall, you won't ruin the memory where as the iPod Classics, bumps and hard landings will courrpt the drives as it has moving parts inside...
Head over to apple.com to check it out...

Re: Which ipod do you recommend?
it depends on what you want to do
ds has a nano i have a new generation classic
i don't use mine for the gym... it has a hard drive, i don't want to mess it up with "jogging" on the treadmill
