which is the BESTEST EVER Macy's Furniture Gallery?

and how close is it to either of Bob's discounts in Freeport or Farmingdale (or Nanuet or Paramus)

we are kind of in the middle bet. LI and upstate/north jersey coming from Brooklyn and I am trying to plot out the best yet most time and gas conserving area to hit.

TIA.

PS...if there's a Home Depot around too, that'll be great Chat Icon

Re: which is the BESTEST EVER Macy's Furniture Gallery?

if you take route 17 in NJ up to your new house- I think you have to pass every single furniture store known to man

inlcuding a huge macy's

both sides of the street have tons of stores!

ETA- look for stores on route 4 and route 17

The only Macy's furniture I know of is in Carle Place (near Roosevelt Field Mall)

There is a Home Depot on Sunrise Highway a few blocks west of Bob's in Freeport.

I agree, there are a TON of furniture stores on rt 4 and 17 in jersey, like every other store sells furniture. Don't know which mall (Paramus or Garden State) has the Macy's, but there's also a Home Depot around there too.

The macy's in nanuet...is it still there?, I know they moved a Macy's into Palisades Mall (i was there last week) but I didn't know that the old Macy's was still around. There is a huge Home Depot in Palisades Mall too and there's a Home Depot Design store in Nanuet on 59 behind the Red Lobster (if you know Nanuet)

no problem!

definately stop at a place called bottle king on route 17- pretty close to NY border

make sure you get the "club card" which is free

best wine selection and great prices

cheapest place for gas is the Valero? just before the bottle king- I paid $3.50 for plus last week

there is a home depot about 3 minutes before you hit the thruway as well

there is also a trader joes in paramus

and really- just about every furniture store

Route 46 as well.. There's a Macy's Furniture Gallery at the Willowbook Mall. It's easy on, easy off and not too far off Rt. 17.

If you want to hit a Home Depot, Bob's and Macy's Furniture place all within a mile in NJ and then be able jump on the Parkway and head north, FM me and I'll tell ya.

Otherwise, the other locations around Paramus work really good! Mine is slightly west of the location.

There is a Home Depot in Freeport just a couple of blocks from the Bob's Furniture store.

There is a Macy's furniture gallery in Carle Place. Both the Macy's Furniture Gallery and Bob's / Home Depot are right off the Meadowbrook (but 8 exits apart or so). There is also a Lowes right near the Macy's furniture gallery area.

Re: which is the BESTEST EVER Macy's Furniture Gallery?

There is a large Macy's at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus and one at the Paramus Park Mall (both on 17). BUT there is a Furniture only store (Macy's Furniture Gallery) on Route 4 West - I would definitely check this location out as they have the biggest selection.

I agree with the other girls as well...there are tons of household stores on Route 17 & 4 including Crate & Barrel, Container Store, Ikea, BBB, Pier 1, etc. Happy shopping!

Just as a side note... do not plan to shop in that area (Paramus - Bergen County) on a Sunday... all these stores will be closed as they observe Sunday Blue Laws!

Oh yes, good call! This used to drive me INSANE when I lived in Bergen. But now I miss the shopping mecca...there is everything in such a small area.

Beth, Jess and anyone else interested...

the cheapest gas is actually right past that Valero in Saddle River on Rt. 17N- its their sister station called SHAMROCK always a few cents cheaper. Chat Icon

It's still before Bottle King in Ramsey, just a few doors past Valero.
