which is your favorite room, why?

do you have rooms in your home that you LOVE and others that you just cant figure out what to do with? I have a hard time putting together my visions when it comes to decorating.

My favorite room will be my Family Room, when we are done with it. It will be the only room in our house that will be completely done and completely finished looking with decor. All the other rooms in our house are only part done to my liking, but over time I will finish the other rooms. Also the Family Room has been a labor of love for me. It's taken us 9 months to finish this room top to bottom DIY!!! So since there are all new walls, flooring, paint, furniture and decor, it will feel like a whole new house for us. Than we will move on to the other rooms and complete.

ETA: as far as vision for a room, I always look online. Google for a bathroom and see pics and get ideas. Even if you only like pieces of a pic that you see. Save those pics and put them into a folder or binder or something that is easy for you. Than start getting paint chips. I love looking through magazines for inspiration too and cut those out. Even if there is a fabric that you love, work with that and jump off from there. I also love this site, www.decorpad.com. Great ideas. HTH!

After 14 years in my house...I love my den. I finally stopped making it what I thought it should be and made it what I wanted. It's pale blue (BM Serenata) with white wainscoting. I have apothecary jars on the mantle filled with shells, beach glass and lemons. I love it!

I HATE my living room, though. Those with the small capes it's the room you enter into first. It's small and the traffic flow is weird.

we dont have a house yet (soon though!!!) and we already have plans for the kitchen and our master bedroom - those rooms we'll be starting immediately....i think those two rooms + our patio will be our favorites.....

i'm not really sure what to do with the other rooms yet and we' won't have enough $ to do everything - so for us we wanted to make sure the master was done (since we know we'll NEVER finish the master if don't do it first) and of course the kitchen....we also want to be able to use the patio area ASAP as well - i figure we'll try to tackle the dining area before the holidays so we can host christmas eve or something - but i dont even have a vision for that room yet - so i can def see what you mean about having favorite rooms in the house and rooms you arent sure what to do with!

Our kitchen is my most favorite room. It's not finished yet - we want to get a wine center on one wall. Even without being finished it's so warm and cozy.

Our kitchen is the heart of our home and I wanted it to be as inviting as possible. I LOVE our kitchen. I love the layout, the appliances, the cabinet color, the paint color, the floor, the countertop, the linens, everything about the room I love.

2nd favorite - guest room - totally girly and I love it.

3rd favorite - our bedroom.
