I wasn't going to get a lightweight. We have a snap & go and a jogger (almost outgrowing the SnG though). Love the jogger, but it feels so big for inside (perfect for outside). We're going away this weekend and were going to just use the SnG, but i think DD would love to be sitting up enough to see everyone/everything and something less bulky would be great.

I know many people love Maclarens, so i was leaning towards that, but don't want to spend $200+. Curious what models people had. Or, another lightweight that people loved, too.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I also notice that many of them don't have the little tray for the kids (i guess so it can fold up small/easy). Do you find this to be an issue for DC?

we have the Maclaren Quest Sport.

Great stroller. the lack of tray isn't an issue because I have carabiners and clip everything to either DS or the stroller. ahahhahah Chat Icon

My ONLY complaint is that the basket underneath is small and difficult to access.

maclaren triumph. LOVE it. DD is 3.5 and still fits in it nicely and she says its cozyChat Icon

ETA I bought it when BRU mailed me a coupon for a certain amount off any stroller purchase. I see these coupons a lot.

I have the Maclaren Quest and love how it steers. I didn't want to pay full price for it, so I bought a second hand one off of Craigslist. It was totally worth it!

I wouldn't bring the SnG on a cruise, b/c you have no use for hte infant seat...

But I brought my metrolite on our cruise, so I'm of no help thereChat Icon

that's exactly the thing- it makes no sense to bring it there. For disney it was great b/c we were in & out of the car alot- even then, i think DD would have enjoyed seeing more, but it was convinient there. For the cruise- not so much.

So now i'm scrambling to do some last minute reseaqrch so i could go buy it tomorrow (also got a 20% off BRU coupon, so that was perfect timing)

Re: Which Maclaren (or other lightweight stroller?) do you have?

Maclaren Quest Sport. I used a 20% coupon at BBB for it.

I love it, and so does DS. The only thing I am not crazy about is that it is a little "tippy" when DS is not sitting in it (but all lightweight strollers probably have this same issue). I have a tendency to hang my shopping bags on the handles and as soon as I pick DS up, the thing tips over.

I love the recline, how small it folds, how light it is...

Re: Which Maclaren (or other lightweight stroller?) do you have?

I also wanted to add that my parents have a Combi stroller. It's not an umbrella but I feel like it's even more compact sometimes bc it folds a few times and they are super lightweight. I think the cheapest ones are like $79 or $99. May be perfect for your needs.

Maclaren Quest sport. It handles so nicely and it's so light! Only problem is can tip when you hang bags on it and the basket underneath is hard to access. I have the universal organizer but you really can't fit much in that either.

Re: Which Maclaren (or other lightweight stroller?) do you have?

I have a Combi Cosmo and so far I like it. Easy to open and close. It sells for around 110 I think but I got it on sale at BRU and had coupons etc.

Eta it does have a small tray which is one of the reasons I got it. Basket underneath is a little small tho but it's ok, I don't do major shopping when I use that stroller anyway.

Another Maclaren Quest Sport owner. I bought the stroller when DD was about 6 months for a trip. However, soon after it became the primary stoller because of how lightweight it is compared to DD's Chicco.

I bought a new 2008 model on ebay for $150 with 15% bing cashback so it came to $135 with free shipping. I had it in two days from this vendor-Babyproductstore.

Re: Which Maclaren (or other lightweight stroller?) do you have?

We have the Maclaren Volo and it is great so far. The upside, very light and easy to open and I really wanted an under the seat storage area and it has that. The downside, when you close it, the wheels touch the umbrella part and it makes it dirty. And the wheels got a little squeeky but a squirt of WD-40 fixed it.

ETA: We decided on this one over the chicco one because the maximum weight limit was much higher.
