My DH has the Iriver H320 and he loves it. its like a 20gig ipod but it has a colored screen so you can store and look at pictures on it.

Re: which mp3 player is the best?
I love my iPod - I have the 40 gig but they dont sell them anymore. Depending on how many cds you have, I'd go to the 60gig - it's nice to carry around your entire cd collection.
I also have the AirPlay attachment so I can transmit to a radio (car, my mom's house, etc). I'm assuming other mp3s have playlists on them - we used my iPod & my husband's PA system for my mom's 60th bday. We just put together a playlist of mellow music for the dinner & dance music for after - worked like a charm.

Re: which mp3 player is the best?
I bought DH an ipod mini last July and it just stopped working a few weeks ago! It would cost $130 to fix-definitely not worth it. Even though I'm not pleased that it broke after such a short time, I'm going to buy DH the new ipod video for x-mas.
eta: I also have an ipod shuffle that is great for running or working out since it's so small and light and hangs around your neck, but it doesn't hold nearly as many songs as the other ipods do and there is no display. But, on the plus side it's much cheaper.

Thanks, I'm actually leaning for the ipod shuffle since they are on sale right now. I also don't need a lot of songs so I think it works great for what I want. so you do like it, right?

I do like the shuffle. I don't use it that often so it's perfect for me. I pretty much just use it when I'm exercising or at the beach/pool. I like that for exercising it can hang around my neck and I don't even feel it. I hate when you have to find a spot to clip something or put it in the cupholder of the treadmill. DH listens everyday back and forth on the train so for him a regular ipod is better. He wants the new one so he can look at pictures, especially with the baby on the way.
