I was absolutely going to get the Little Tikes car because it has a hood plus the floor board can come out so she can pedal herself when she is older. BUT when I went to the store today I saw that it does not have a Seat Belt!!! How could they make a car for ages 1 and up without a seat belt???? Sidney LOVED it at the store but I am quite nervous about it. I probably wouldn't even be able to use the canopy because then I wouldn't be able to anticipate if she was going to flop out of the seat. I guess I am answering my own question here but thought maybe you guys had some experience with either of these cars.

Cole has the first one. He absolutely loves it. It is pretty noisy though because of the plastic wheels. It's annoying on long walks, but other than that its just fine.

I just got the first one for Julia and she loves it!! I would pick that one.

I have #1 and both my older kids enjoyed it but both of them liked to put their feet outside of the car while being pushed. Which makes it very hard to push it at any decent pace. But the lack of a seatbelt in #2 would be a deterrent to me as well.

I just saw a little girl today in Dunkin Donuts with her mom and she was in the 1st one.....she seemed to be having a blast. I think i would go for that one because I agree i wouldn't be able to use the canopy on #2 because i would need to watch her so it would really defeat the purpose.

I like the hood on #2, but #1 looks like it's made better....more sturdier

I have the second one without the canopy just a hard top and it is fine without the seatbelt. The door has a screw to keep it closed when they are little and the floor has a bottom to keep his feet in. When he is bigger we can take the door screw off and remove the bottom so he can use his feet. There is even a cup holder and room in the back for my keys when we walk. We bought it for him when he turned 1.

I have the first one (in pink) but if I had to do it over again I would have purchased the LT one. The step 2 is great but they grow out of it too quickly. The LT's would give you more usage over time.

When my son was younger we had #1 and he loved it so much. He still tried to squeeze into it at 3 1/2

#1 is what Molly has and it is GREAT, although I always wished it had a shade cover.
