which shoes?
I have a wedding in mid October and have no clue what to wear. It is a formal affair but not black tie. Id like to wear a knee length cocktail dress. Where do you shop for dresses? im so tired of Macys and LNT.

I rented this dress --
It is an inky grey. What color shoes do you wear with it? Im not a fan of the way nude is looking.
I found these shoes in "ink" but not too sure about them.
Thoughts?

just checked them out. i like the idea a lot...but hate having to wait until a day before the event to see if the dress will even fit. have you had issues with fit from them?

just checked them out. i like the idea a lot...but hate having to wait until a day before the event to see if the dress will even fit. have you had issues with fit from them?
You acutally get it 2 days before and they will send you 2 sizes.
I never had an issue.
You have to read the reviews of the real women who wore it, look at their pics.
Find someone with similar measurements to you and go from there.

Believe it or not, I just got a dress for a wedding at Marshalls... for $14! Check there or TJ Maxx. Sometimes you can find some really nice things.
Otherwise Nordstrom.

Help me find a dress for a wedding
I've gotten a few recently at Dress Barn. I got a GREAT LBD there like a month ago. They actually have some really nice dresses!

I agree nude doesn't work -
I'd do black, silver, or that shoe you posted.
I think it works well and the sandal style works with the dress

Noooo - with a real blue you could do nude/gold - but not with that steely blue grey - I LOVE the color of that dress, but I agree it's difficult to accessorize.
I usually don't like matchy matchy (read - red dress, red shoes) - but I think the shoe you picked is great b/c the embellishment gives it some depth, and it looks like it might be a few shades deeper than the dress -

My BIL's girlfriend loves rent the runway and rents from them all the time. She orders two sizes, but also goes by the reviews, so if a reviewer says the dress runs big then she has a better idea of what sizes to request.
ETA just saw the dress you posted, I would do the "ink" color shoe.
