Which Spyware and Firewall software do you use?

Just bought a computer and I was wondering what everyone uses?

Zonealarm is a good personal firewall and it's free. ZoneAlarm

For Spyware I've always been a fan of SpyBot but lately Microsoft's Antispyware is getting better ratings. Both are free to download.

Thanks, ever since I graduated from college, I feel so computer illiterate. In addition, this is the first PC I had at home. When I worked I always had a company laptop and didn't have to worry about these things.

I use McAfee

I've used McAfee, Zone Alarm and Microsoft Antispyware.

The new McAfee has annoying pop ups telling you that you need to renew a privacy subscription, etc.

Our VP of Technology Services uses both Zone & Microsoft Antispyware.

I use Trend Micro PC - cillin for our firewall and virus software.

Spyware we use Webroot Spysweeper and Microsoft Anti spyware.

Consumer Reports published a very thorough article and reviews of these software this summer, I used that as a guide to help me determine what was best for our needs.
