Re: Which stroller do you like best?

I registered for the Graco Quattro Tour Travel system. It has the Stroller and an infant car seat. I'm hoping its a good one.

I can't tell you which I would pick because I'm out of the loop on strollers. I know my friend loves her Bugaboo.

I can say which one I would not pick. The Orbit. There are times you need to push with one hand & the two separate handles are harder to steer IMO.

Are you in the city? I heard a lot of those are better in the city, rather than suburbs? The Rockstar looks nice - does it turn into a regular stroller or is it only a pram?

Honestly...none. They are all very expensive and not practical.

Will you be getting in and out of the car often? Most of those come apart in two piece and it will be a major PITA to take apart and put together.

If you live in NYC and will be taking the train, all of these are nearly impossible to carry up and down the subway stairs.

If you have to go up steps to get into your house, they will be very heavy to bring up and down.

I too bought a very big carriage and even though it's nice and drives beautifully, it's a major PITA when I have my arms full and I'm carrying baby down the stairs. Just the other day, I nearly broke my neck going down the stairs with the carriage and the baby.

Oh no! I hope you and baby are both ok!

I live in NC actually, no stairs into my house, our stroller is mostly for trips to the mall, walks around the neighborhood, and the park.

I am concerned about the 2 pieces though, I am pretty sure I can fold all of them with the toddler seat on, except the orbit, but none of them with the bassinet. The mutsy something or other folds with the bassinet but its really heavy

The bassinet comes off, and there is a toddler seat attachment, I am not sure if it folds very compactly though, you can see most of these strollers, and all their features at strollermama.com, they have videos of most of them

Did you look at the Ingelsina Zippy? It's very easy to handle and is better suited for the burbs. Plus, you can fold it with one hand. It also has a bassinette attached you can buy.
The salesperson who helped me told me, living in the suburbs, I would probably hate the Bugaboo and some of the others you listed.
My SIL has the Bugaboo Chameleon but she's in London and needs it for bumpy roads - she got a snap & go for when they go anywhere in the car b/c it's way too bulky to transport around.

Well i will say that it depends on what you're looking for. I mean none of them really have much room for storage or a place for drinks/bottles, etc. The one stroller with the 2 handles, i agree... would be tough to manuever.

If you're planning on using them simply to take the baby for a walk, i like the bugaboo. Chat Icon

if you are def set on those, then i would suggest looking to see which has the highest safety rating, and make your decision from that.

that's how i chose my infant seat/stroller...

Bugaboo or Quinny.

But, keep in mind that a Bugaboo is fairly useless for a toddler. The other day I saw a toddler in a Bug and his head was higher than the hood. Not comfy at all. I have a Bugaboo and its waiting for another little one to populate it. I love the Quinny. I see that in Europe it is overtaking the Bug as the city pushchair. And it looks fab too. Not a big fan of the Orbit...looks complicated.

eta...the Bugaboo is not difficult to fold, but if you are in and out of the car a lot its a pain in the arse.

ThanksChat Icon Luckily I only went down three steps, then put my arm out to the wall in front of me.

Anyway...for what you described, then I agree...the Bug or the Quinney.

I also tried one out that was pretty light weight and the same style you're looking at. The only thing that stopped me was that they didn't have the color I wanted. It was the Inglesena Zippy.

I've posted it before, my friend HATES her Quinny. She says it is really hard to manage, the front wheel falls off and her DD gets bounced around like a nut in it.

I think you need something you can take in and out of your trunk if you don't live in a city, I kind of think those are all fancy and big and nice, but might not be the most practical.

I have the Inglesina Zippy stroller and the bassinet. I have been using the bassinet for almost two months now and I love it. As soon as my DH out grows the bassinet and will then just use the Zippy stroller. The stroller is sooo easy to open and close.

Re: Which stroller do you like best? edited to add pics

I just bought a bumbleride which I love after much debate. I love the bugaboo but IMO the baby will outgrow the stroller by the time they are 2...too much $$$ for something with a short lifespan.
I like the Uppa...it's weighs around 24lbs but it closes in one piece. The bassinet and the toddler seat are spacious and it rides really nice. Also the warranty I heard is really good and the company is great at handling questions/concerns. I also like that not everyone has one. It also has a really good size basket. Good Luck!
