Which tablet for an almost 3 year old?
I was thinking of getting dd a leap pad as a special gift just for her when the baby comes in 3 weeks! Is leap pad the best option, or is the v tech one better? Also, looking at buying games for leap pad, I didn't see any sesame st games. Do they have any? Does vetch? Dd is really into seame st and yo gabba gabba and I'd hate to get her a computer without these things. Tia

My DD got the Leap Pad last year when she turned 3, she loves it. Lots of games and it even has downloadable games from the Leap Pad website. She's been happy with it............but will still always take my IPad when she can!!

Re: Which tablet for an almost 3 year old?
leapfrog/sesame street
Link to Sesame Street Apps
Link to yo gabba gabba app
The links are for leap pad explorer that are downloadable to the explorer system. There are 7 sesame street videos, one sesame street music item and one yo gabba gabba video. I am not sure if they are interactive games as I have not downloaded them or looked into them at all.
I don't see sesame street for the vtech innotab, but I think there is one for the mobigo. I did not see anything vtech for yo gabba gabba.

Re: Which tablet for an almost 3 year old?
We almost got DS the leap pad last year. Several people told us the apps were pricey and not nearly as good as the real tablets.
We ended up getting the ipad3 and kindle instead. Both kids knew right away that the kindle was inferior and didn't want to use it so we sold the kindle and we are left with just the ipad3.
I would get a used ipad 1 or 2 over a leap pad.
