Which would you choose? (entertainment related)

Im starting to plan DS#2's 1st birthday party...

His birthday is in June and we will be having a big backyard party.

I have about 20-25 children who will be there...

3 children; who are in the 1yr or less category...

5 children; in the 2yr old category..

10+ kids in the 3-5 yr category...

and then a few others over 5.

Ive used Laughs and Giggles (Silly Billy and Kiwi-soft clowns not scary at all) twice (DS#2 christening and DS#1 4th b-day party); they are WONDERFUL with the kids... They keep them so engaged in everything... They do face painting, cotton candy, bubbles, parachute, balloon animals, tatoos, tug of war...they even got a soccer game going with the kids and adults. I can't say enough good things about them!

They would be at the party for 1.5hr.

Now DS #2- loves loves loves animals...whenever we see a dog, or have gone to the ecology site he flips... Even just seeing them on TV gets him sooo excited!!!

So I was considering getting a petting farm.

I have a great company, who my friends have used, as well as the school I use to work for. They are wonderful, great with kids, CLEAN animlas, and do all the clean up...

They would be here for an hour.

Price difference is like $25- so its not a big difference..

I think the birthday boy would like the animals better, but feel like the majority of kids would get more out of the clowns...

Thoughts??? Suggestions?

I'd go with the animals if that is what the birthday boy likes! I'm sure the other kids will like them too.

i dont mean to sound stupid but... if i ever went to a party where there was EITHER of those things as a kid, id be SHOCKED and more then excited! i have never gone to a party where there is entertainment. and kids parties were not that long ago for me im 24. i never even knew that people get entertainment for birthday parties till i signed up for this site. entertainment was always playing pretend, and playing with birthday toys. maybe a craft that the parents set up, or pool party if thats what it was. So the fact youre going to get either i think its pretty fantastic and they should be greatful of either. so i would say.. go for what the birthday boy would love!

I'd say animals too! You've been there done that with the clowns so do something new for the birthday boy... and for you too! My sis did it for my nephew's first birthday (14 years ago!) and it was a big hit! With the adults too!

I would totally do the animals, especially if the bday boy would enjoy them, it is his party after all Chat Icon

Plus, I dont think the older age group is so old that they wouldnt enjoy animals.
