I don't think "vegas" when I think of these three places. But I would think AC is the most vegas like out of the three in terms of having more activities. I personally don't care for AC.
I like Mohegan better than Foxwoods as I find Mohegan to be more upscalish/classy than Foxwoods. I haven't been to Foxwoods in years though. Mohegan has REALLY nice rooms, more upscale shopping and better restaurants IMO.

Unfortunately, nothing beats Vegas
AC is so expensive, and Vegas so desperate for tourists, the prices wind up being about the same (even WITH airfare!) if you get a good deal.
I'm assuming you don't want to travel across the country though, and that's why you're asking
I'm not much of a help, I've only been to AC. I went there a ton, but haven't been in 8 years or so... in that 8 years I've been to Vegas 9 times though so I'm probably a biased source.

really won't get the same experience at any of them -- I prefer Moehgan Sun for a day trip

Re: which would you consider to be the most "vegas like" experience on the east coast
thanks....I kinda figured that would be the case.
I'd LOVE to go to Vegas, but dh's birthday is about 3 weeks after my due date, so I don't think I'll be partying at the Palms that soon after *lesigh*
I thought maybe staying closer to home would still give us a good sexy night out....with a nice hotel pool and a margarita.
but I think I'll start barking up another tree.
thanks everyone!!

Foxwoods would be more Vegasy then Mohegan, especially now with the MGM Grand open. We stayed there in January and had a great time. If you go while the pool is open they just opened a really nice party-style pool. If it's for the winter then look into Harrah's in AC. They have a really noce indoor pool and pool party (cabanas, table service, etc...) I haven't been, but I hear it's fun, if ot slightly trashy- kind of like the Vegas pool parties.

I agree nothing compares to Vegas.
But for a more local trip maybe check out the Borgata in AC. More hip then the old school casinos in AC.

Re: which would you consider to be the most "vegas like" experience on the east coast
ive never been to vegas, but Im guessing maybe AC would be the closest? it has many hotels on one strip-rather than Mohegan/Foxwoods which are 2 huge casinos-not next to each other, but separate.
i like mohegan though-me and DH have dined at Tuscany-which is very nice-dark and romantic in there.
foxwoods now has another hotel in it-MGM grand, and they have nice restaurants in t here too-if u like tom coliccios restaurants ie wichcraft, craftseak, etc, he has a craftsteak in there

Re: which would you consider to be the most "vegas like" experience on the east coast
Harrahs in AC has a GREAT pool area. It's covered but climate controlled so it has a tropical feel and they have a full bar with a light dining menu. They also have cabannas you can rent that comes with the private space, dedicated waitress service, TV, Ipod dock, day bed type seating. It's really nice.
I think the Borgata comes closest to having that overall Vegas feel. I know they pool area that is probably fabulous but I have never been. They have some good restaurants and lounges in the hotel.

None!! I have to agree with everyone...there is NOTHING that even comes close to Vegas!
BUT...I would go to AC if you want that "feel".
With Mohegan or Foxwoods, there are just those...one place.
At least with AC you have LOTS of hotels and options on where to eat, gamble, party, shop...etc etc.
They're all fun!!!

ITA. I've been to bachelorette parties at Borgata (my BFF) and Vegas -- the Bellagio (my own). Vegas was amazing (we had lots of awesome connections, had VIP tables at Pure, Ghostbar, and Studio 54, went to Thunder from Down Under, etc. ) But Borgata was really super nice. I loved the restaurant choices, the club was fun, the room was very nice/comparable to Bellagio.
