White furniture for big boy room (with pic)?
I've been looking for furniture for DS's big boy room that we will be moving him into before the baby comes. Today I found a white set which I love, but I can't decide if it's too girly or not. I feel like most magazines and places display white furniture with girly bedding so I'm thinking that is why it feels girly to me. I would probably paint his walls a dark blue and there would be white trim. I can also change the knobs on the dresser to something a little more "boy" (or to match the theme if I ever settle on something!!). Oh and I can get the set in other colors, but of course this is the floor sample and it's on sale, lol! Here is the pic: Image Attachment(s):

We have white for DS. Our floors are dark wood. We used BM Shabby Chic on the walls. The bedding for now is white with lght blue. When he is older, I will switch to a navy blue/white theme. I personally love it and no one can convince me it's girly. Go with what you love

Personally I think for a big boy room, white is to girly. Fine for "baby" furniture but not a set you want him to grow with IMO.

We have white funiture for DS with a nautical theme. White red navy blue. it's not girly AT ALL.

White will just fine. Our nautical bedding is from PBK also. I have navy accent furniture, red curtains, etc....

So cute!! I'm sure it looks amazing! I'm not the best decorator so this is painful for me, but I think once I have a theme it will get a little easier. DS keeps saying he wants racecars so I might just go with that (of course next week it will be different so I also want to go with something I can live with!!)
btw, are a few of those pics from Sag Harbor?? They look very familiar
