White marks on nails?
Does anyone have white marks on their nails? I'm going to ask my doctor about it tomorrow but wondering if it's pregnancy related or if it could be a sign of a calcium deficiency or something? Or if it's just normal.

Could still be fungus - it doesn't look like a growth.

Re: White marks on nails?
i have psoriasis..and i notice on my thumb nail i get these deep ridges and marks..and as the nail grows..it moves up the nail.
i've been told its my psoriasis...i can see right now three white marks where the ridges are. so it may be a form of nail fungus.
nothing alarming though..its not as bad as it sounds.

Re: White marks on nails?
I just found this on Yahoo
White marks on your nails that are more linear could be a sign of a fungal infection. If you suspect that's the cause for the white on your claws, see a dermatologist about a culture sample and diagnosis.
Another culprit, although not as common, is psoriasis, a chronic skin condition that causes red, irritated blemishes and scaling throughout the body. In extreme cases, fingernails are affected by dead skin cells that accumulate in the nail bed and form thick layers, also known as "plaque."
Finally, an old wives' tale fingers another suspect: your diet. In folklore, the most commonly cited cause for those white marks is a deficiency of certain minerals in your body, such as zinc and calcium.
