White overkill - need suggestions
We have a very small guest bathroom that is overkill white. - White toilet, vanity, sink, medicine cabinet, tub, shower curtain, linnen tower, and white tile going up a little more then half the wall all the way around.
Right now its painted white. Originally I planned to leave it b/c it had just been painted but now something came up and the walls need to be repainted.
What light color besides white will work? Does anyone agree it too much white? ( the only thing in the whole room not white is the tile - light stone looking, and my towels that are a cream color.

Maybe a wallpaper border around the top?

Re: White overkill - need suggestions
We're doing all white - except the floor is white & black hex tiles. We're painting the walls either a silver sage color or a light blue/green color (my towels are a sage green color).
Why not paint the walls a creamy yellow (to pick up the floor tile & your towels)?

Will you be replacing the shower curtain or anything like that? I would start there and pick a paint color to match it.

How about a nice sage green? That would go nicely with the white and the cream/stone color.
What are the other colors of the room that is right off of it? That would figure into the equation as well.

Re: White overkill - need suggestions
My master bathroom is lilac with white counters, a white shower, and white floors. I saw a house when we were looking with the lilac color and I fell in love, so I tried to recreate it. I really like the color and I think the white looks clean.

Re: White overkill - need suggestions
I live in an apt, so I can't change the color of the walls. everything in the bathroom is white. I buy very vibrant colored shower curtains with a matching bath rug and guest towels. it definitely helps!
to answer your question, I think sage green, yellow, purple or blue would look very nice in a bathroom.

While it's not dark it's not light either.
OK, let me go take some pics of my sage green half bath...

Sage sounds great. Its coming off of a room that is BM Linnen white & BM Rich Cream.

Here are pics of my 1/2 bath which is a sage green. It's very tiny. I have all of the exact paint color names if you like anything. Image Attachment(s):

Here is the green in the diningroom and a picture of the color of my kitchen. I really like color with white accents because it makes the color pop.
I have the same light brown tiles in the kitchen as well as the bath. Image Attachment(s):

Re: White overkill - need suggestions
It does have a slight note of grey in it... just a touch. It looks like the top of your shower curtain might as well.
1/2 bath is Benjamin Moore's Feather Green.
Diningroom is Benjamin Moore's Winchester Sage.
Hallway paint color (outside of bathroom) is Butte Rock which looks a bit dark in that picture.
ETA: That is a beige towel that is hanging on the ring in the half bath to give you a better idea.

Oh, I think they are both shades of sage. I think they may have been on the same swatch
Good luck in making your choice.
