Who do you call if you don't receive a W2 from a previous employer???

Who do you call if you don't receive a W2 from a previous employer???
My husband left his previous job in Aug. He has been with his new job since then. He has not received a W2 from his past employer.. he called them and they gave him their accountants phone number. He has called and left messages as well as e-mails to the guy.. no response.. obviously there was a reason why he left that shady office.
What should be our next step? Who do we call to put in a complaint against the old company? The IRS?

im pretty sure its illegal to not send out w2s - maybe ask your accountant?

I would try the payroll dept of the previous company not their accountants.

I am just thinking that I worked at 2 places last year PT and did NOT recieve W2s from either one

They did not have a payroll dept. The company he worked for was VERY small three people only.
