Who else has dc in bed with them at night?

Sleeping with you?

How old? Is it all night, every night? Are you trying to fix it, or have you given up?
Do you like it? Or just do it because you have to?

He starts in his crib, but he always end up in the bed by the middle of the night. I have to admit that I love it. I love feeling him next to me and waking up to his litte smile is priceless. I'm afraid that it's bad habit, but it's so much easier for nughtime nursing.

We do.

She is 8mths. She starts in her crib but is usually in with us by 1.00am EVERY night.....
Love having her little body closeby so I can check her breathing etc.... , Love that when she wakes up and sits up as she always does about 3 times a night that I can guide her back down and she doesnt get scared.
Love that I can nurse her lying down at night and dont have to walk into another room.
Love that I dont have to worry about someone coming in the window and taking her during the night - I know psycho neurotic mom!!
Love when she rolls onto her side in her sleep and puts her two hands on my face.
Love that when she wakes in the morning she can see me or DH smiling down at her.

Hate that I spend most of the night hanging out of the side of the bed as she likes to sleep across the bed. Hate that I worry that DH will drop the duvet over her head or roll over on her. Hate that I still havent had a good nights sleep in over 8mths. hate that I sometimes beat myself up about the bad habit that I have created - but getting better about this.

DS slept with us for 2 nights his first week home...I didnt want to start that habit..so he no longer sleeps in our bed.

Jiavana was sleeping in our bed almost all night when we were using the bassinet. Now that we started putting her in her crib, for the most part she sleeps there. If there are nights that she won't fall back asleep or is really cranky we keep her in bed with us.

She is 7 wks.

I don't mind it.

Julia is 15 months old, and she still sleeps with us at night, and I have been wanting to put her in her crib, but I know that will be a nightmare to do, and I dont know if I'm ready yet to have her so far away from me. I really dont mind it at all that she sleeps with us.

Damien is three and is still in our bed. We have accepted it and enjoy it. We all sleep great and I never worry about him at night

we have had all 3 in bed with us, each of them slept with us until they were about 1y and then they phased themseves out, some nights we have all 3 in bed with us at the same time, I LOVE it, befire you kniw it they'll be away at college and I'll miss my little snuggle-monsters . Look at my char avatar, that is all 3 of them in my bed about 1 year ago , Priceless!!

My oldest (4 yrs) comes in in the middle of the night alot. My DH minds more than I do. I dont mind at all - he can sleep independently we already know this but sometimes he wants the comfort I guess and I cant resist that, especially when his world is getting bigger and harder. I bring the 4 1/2 month old in when he wakes up too early for my taste (5am!) and he sometimes sleeps there for an hour or so in the AM. The only one who doesnt is my 2 yr old b/c we have a gate on her doorway.

Christopher slept with us for the first few weeks and so far, it looks like it will be the same with Kaylee. She's been sleeping in bed with us since we've gotten home.

Ryan was in his bed 100% until about 2. Then he started the bad habit of going to sleep in our bed. Once we move him to his bed he sometimes stays there the rest of the night, sometimes winds up back in our bed. We have tried to correct it. But in January DH started working nights, and honestly I like having DS with me in bed, so I dont even try to put him to sleep in his bed. We still move him when DH gets home though. He will be 4 in January.

Hayley starts out in her crib and then ends up in our bed, usually around 5am but the last few nights it was around 3am. I hate sleeping with her because she is a bed hog and is very restless! I have tried to let her CIO but the other night it was so bad she could not stop crying and sobbing. I don't know what else to do.

Roman starts off in his crib around 8:30 and then depending on what time DH and I go to bed he'll usually end up with us because once I'm in bed I do not want to get up every hour. I liked sleeping with him at first but he kicks and is all over the place. I sometimes end up going in the guest bedroom by myself because I cannot function at work without sleep!

Stephanos (will be 11mos on Sunday) starts off in his crib but somewhere b/w 2-5 am he ends up in our bed. I know it's a hard habit to break but honestly I LOVE that time we spend together. I love waking up to his smiles and giggles. DH says it's a bad habit and we should break it now. Before I know it, he'll be 13 and won't want hugs and kisses from his mommy So I just want to enjoy these moments to the fullest and will deal with the consequences.

My son is 18 months old and has been sleeping with us since 9 months. He has always hated his crib and never slept straight through the night.
I work full time and I would put him in the crib and would wake up at about 1AM and sometimes more than once.. Now that he sleeps in our bed he sleeps straight through.
If he had been a good sleeper I would have him in the crib. He is so restless and smashes he body parts in the crib and he wakes up often. He sleeps straight through the night now that he is in the bed with us. I love when he cuddles up with me.

I always said that I would never have him in our bed but I do what is best for our family. It is amazing how many comments from people I get that judge me about our sleeping situation.
