she wedges her foot in between the removable tray and the one that hooks one......

sydney loves doing that and now that she has shoes she loves to bang them against the tray to hear the noise.

For that reason, and the fact my kids liked to lean forward and s u ck on the tray, I do not use the tray when feeding them. To me, they eat better when its not on. I will use the tray when they start eating finger foods and will need it. For now, I feed her!

Hands up here...the kid also likes to kick my head when I bend down to pick something up. He finds it very very funny....but I do too, so its okay!!!
