Who has gotten their hair highlighted in the 2nd trimester?
I've been told by many that it's fine, and I asked my doc and she gave me the ok. Just looking for a little more affirmation...

i am 10 weeks and got it done last week. i called my dr office and a lady who answered said its not ok; no matter when you get it done in the pregnanacy and i thought she was nuts so i got it done. it doesnt touch the scalp so i think its fine....

I made my appointment as soon as I was done with the first trimester. Did that for both pregnancies. Nothing ever went wrong.

I was told by my dr that I could dye my hair even in the first trimester!..I havent but I am going to be doing it in like 3 weeks and i will just be about 12 weeks

I'm in a wedding next week so I'm having it done on Sunday- I'll be 9 weeks. It doesn't touch the scalp so I can't see how highlights would harm the baby.

I had it done in the first trimester, the second trimester and will have it done again in the third. Quite honestly there are much worse and more constant toxins we expose ourselves and our babies to on a daily basis. I am not worried at all about highlighting.

I had my hair highlighted in the 2nd trimester and then when i got into my third my hair dresser used a vegetabled based non permanent to cover the highlights ( I was sick of them and summer is over now). My doctor says its all fine!

When I get my hair highlighted they always stick me under the hood, so my doc was worried about the fumes, she didn't give me the OK until 16 weeks.
