Who has had an endoscopy?
Is it bad? I have been suffering with acid reflux on and off for the past year, but I am really starting to think I have an ulcer. I know I am going to have to have an endoscopy done and I was wondering how terrible it was or wasn't. I am the biggest baby!

I had it done. It is not bad at all!!!!!!!
All I remember was going to sleep, when I woke up I thought they didn't even start.

I didn't know that they knock you out - that actually makes me feel better. I 'd rather not know what is going on!

i agree. but i'm a big baby and started tearing up cause i dont like to be put to sleep. i was 24 yrs old and felt like telling the dr "i want my mommy". but it was over before i knew it.
however...i woke up in the middle of it and remember seeing the dr and nurse looking at the TV screen and seeing my insides!!!  i didnt feel a thing tho!
dont worry, like everyone said its gonna be the best 20 mins of sleep you'll have.

Endoscopy is easy - it's the colonoscopy that I hated. Drinking that stuff is the worst.
Don't worry, they knock you out and the worst thing is that you are a little gassy afterward.

My dad has had several, related to his esophageal cancer. He said he was in a twilight stage, not fully out, but not feeling a thing. It's great you are getting it done. Best prevention to see if anything is wrong. Good Luck!

Yes, I was completely out. When, I woke up I was laughing, I guess it was from the anesthesia.
You will be fine!
I also got mine done because of acid reflux. Mine was a start of an ulcer.
