who has IO DVR box??
can you record multiple shows if they are on at the same time?? I went on cablevision.com and it says
Never miss your favorite programs - even if they are on at the same time on different channels. Simply RECORD both programs at the same time. OR RECORD one program while watching the other Record 2 shows at the same time while you watch a 3rd show you recorded earlier
My neighbor says this isnt true....I am confused

Re: who has IO DVR box??
You can watch a 3rd show that you RECORDED EARLIER- but not a 3rd LIVE show. So if you are recording 2 shows at once you can watch a previously recorded one from your program list- but not live TV

Re: who has IO DVR box??
You can record 2 shows and watch something on DVR but you cant watch another channel while recording 2 shows on other channels... did that make sense?

I have both. One in the bedroom and one in the livingroom. IMO- Tivo is much nicer. Nicer fonts, nicer colors- and MUCH more user friendly.

I disagree- I think the DVR box is much more user friendly then TIVO

I also like how on TIVO you can do wishlists- so if you have a favorite actor, or favorite genre, etc- it will automatically tape things in that category for you. And I LOVE the TIVO suggestions- where it tapes shows it thinks you might like based on your viewing habits. I love coming home to see what it taped for me that day!

that's the part I didn't like- it used to change the channel on us when we were watching something
