Who has seen "Premonition"???? DONT CLICK THIS IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT!!!
I have questions...
Didnt she find out about Jim's death on Thursday? The oldest daughter Bridget's face was fine then. But supposedly she had the accident on Tuesday so shouldnt her face have been messed up already on Thurs??? Jim was still alive remember...he was at the hospital with them.
why did her mom not know about what happened to Bridget's face???? when the doctors came to take Linda away, her mom said "tell us what happened to Bridget". how did she not know about her going to the hospital???
i'm so confused...

We watched it last week. I think that each time she went back to previous days, she changed some of the events that occurred.

I watched it and I was probably one of the few people who didn't like it. What was the point of all that? Everything she did and he STILL died. Actually, in the end, she CAUSED it. Uggh. DH and I didn't like it.

Here's my take:
What happened on Thursday was a premonition. I *think* she had the actual premonition on Sunday, and as of Sunday, nothing had happened to the oldest daughter's face. So when she had the premonition (because things aren't always accurate), her daughter's face was fine because she hadn't had the accident yet. It's also why when Sandra Bullock saw her daughter on Saturday, she didn't know what happened yet. In her mind, it HADN't happened yet.
Her mother DID know what happened to the daughter's face. She said "Tell us what happened to Bridget's face" and when Sandra Bullock said she didn't know, the mother said "that's what I mean" as in, obviously, something's wrong, you were there, how can you not know, that's why the dr.'s here.
I just saw this movie last week, and watched it twice because I was so confused. I have no idea if those are the "right" answers, but it's how I finally managed to make sense of it.

that's what I thought, too.
Also, he would have died no matter what she did. At first, he was in an accident and she didn't know. Then, at the end, she was there for the accident.

Well, the point was he was going to die no matter what she did. Like when she was talking to the priest and he was reading her all the stories of other people with premonitions. The outcome is still the same, but HOW it happens changes. So you could think you are preventing something, but if it's meant to be then it will be.

The way I look at it was, it was his time to die but she was able to stop him from cheating on her and he was able to truly realize how much he loves her.
Did you watch the alternate ending?
The gag real is funny!
It reminds me of City of Angels when Meg Ryan died...

I just watched it last night and I thought the same thing RE: daughters face being fine on Thursday when the accident happened on Tuesday. She was putting stickers on the glass door on THURSDAY.
I also was annoyed because she woke up on SUNDAY - knowing that on TUESDAY her daughter would go through a door and get her face all cut up. My first thought would be.. my daughter is going to slice up her face on Tuesday on this door. Then I would have taken the door down or put stickers up THAT DAY.

I only saw it once in the theater and was a little annoyed that he still died but I guess it's like some of you said it was meant to be and this way she got another baby. I have to watch it again.

No.. on SUNDAY (this movie is WAAAY too confusing) she already knew how her daughter got the cuts because TUESDAY had already happened.

Basically I looked at that she went backwards in time...knew the events that were going to happen but at same time didnt know, like no control over them.
The ending, sucked that it didnt change, the death but her life changed, the acceptance of his death, knowing he truly loved her, and the baby....that might not of been there due to the premonition.
Yes, still all confusing. I like Butterfly Effect better!

It seemed to me like she was living the days of the week out of order.
That's why, she saw the ripped up phone book page in the garbage can before she actually put it there.
Instead of living life in order: Sun, then Mon, then Tues, then Wed, etc. it was all mixed up for her like: Tues, then Sun, then Wed, then Mon, etc.
